Then get in touch! Kingston Barnes is pleased to be recruiting an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer for one of our clients in the Gloucester area. Our client is a specialist manufacturer for the automotive industry.

The Role: You will be responsible for carrying out electrical and mechanical breakdown repair and planned preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery. You may also undertake machine rebuilds and refurbishments. Responsibilities include:

  • Respond to breakdowns to minimise downtime and improve long term machine reliability
  • Execute the maintenance plan to work preventatively
  • Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S
  • Record all maintenance tasks performed on the reporting system
  • Train operators and other staff in performing basic front-line maintenance when required
  • Ensure quality procedures and guidelines are adhered to

The Candidate:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience of working in a machine tool, assembly or test production environment.
  • Experience undertaking maintenance in a assembly, test or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read Pneumatic, Electrical & Hydraulic Schematics.
  • Multi-skilled individual with practical experience PLC fault finding and repair.
  • Time served apprentice or electrically/mechanically qualified
  • Ability to work in a team or on your own
  • Excellent attention to detail
