Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting new challenge in Stonehouse? Key Responsibilities:

  • Swiftly respond to machine breakdowns, aiming to minimize downtime and improve machine reliability.
  • Execute preventative and reactive maintenance, following plans set by the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer.
  • Apply root cause analysis and 5S to drive continuous improvement and solve persistent issues.
  • Work cost-consciously to identify savings and efficiencies.
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance and accurately log all tasks in an electronic system.
  • Collaborate with and train operators, apprentices, and craft workers in first-line and planned maintenance.
  • Liaise with suppliers for machine spares and third-party support when needed.
  • Promote quality and safety procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and meet customer expectations.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Strong fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with CNC/PLC fault finding and repair (Siemens, Fanuc, Allen-Bradley) highly desirable.
  • Ability to read pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine tool, assembly, or production environment.

Qualifications:

  • Ideally served a recognized engineering apprenticeship.
  • HNC qualified or equivalent experience.
  • Familiar with standard MS Office applications.
