Job Title: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stonehouse, Shift-based

Key Responsibilities:
- Swiftly respond to machine breakdowns, aiming to minimize downtime and improve machine reliability.
- Execute preventative and reactive maintenance, following plans set by the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer.
- Apply root cause analysis and 5S to drive continuous improvement and solve persistent issues.
- Work cost-consciously to identify savings and efficiencies.
- Perform planned preventative maintenance and accurately log all tasks in an electronic system.
- Collaborate with and train operators, apprentices, and craft workers in first-line and planned maintenance.
- Liaise with suppliers for machine spares and third-party support when needed.
- Promote quality and safety procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and meet customer expectations.
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong fault-finding skills in both electrical and mechanical systems.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with CNC/PLC fault finding and repair (Siemens, Fanuc, Allen-Bradley) highly desirable.
- Ability to read pneumatic, electrical, and hydraulic schematics.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine tool, assembly, or production environment.
Qualifications:
- Ideally served a recognized engineering apprenticeship.
- HNC qualified or equivalent experience.
- Familiar with standard MS Office applications.
What You’ll Get:
- Competitive salary between £45,000 - £50,000+, with potential for up to £53,000 with overtime.
