The Role:

  • Reviewing production documentation and inspecting the quality of production equipment.
  • Overseeing the non-conformance and change management process across the production cycle, from the machine shop to package assembly and testing.
  • Monitoring build processes and inspecting components throughout manufacturing, using contract-specific Inspection and Test Plans (I&TP).
  • Supporting instrumentation and equipment calibration activities.
  • Conducting inspections and assessments, including using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment.
  • Inspecting painted components, including checks on paint adhesion, thickness, and quality.
  • Assessing the quality of welds using visual and basic measuring equipment.
  • Reporting on non-conformances to specifications and drawings.
  • Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.

You:

  • A HNC/D or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrable industry experience.
  • Experience in Quality Inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including Metrology/Calibration/FARO Arm CMM.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes and the ability to evaluate and solve problems.
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings, certification, client specifications, and standards (API, ISO, PED, etc.).
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage workloads and handle competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Basic hours: Office hours are 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 08.30 to 17.00 (30 minutes unpaid lunch break), and Friday from 08.30 to 13.00.
