Are you a Bid Engineer / Proposals Engineer with a background in Pumps or Rotary Compressors looking for a varied and technical role within a multimillion pound company, offering a bonus, hybrid working and the opportunity to specialize as you develop your technical knowledge?

This company established themselves in the 1970's, and have since seen rapid growth, having taken on multimillion pound projects in the last few years, and they are now market leaders, designing and manufacturing Rotary Compressors for the Oil & Gas among other industries. Due to the upcoming retirement of one of their team members, they are looking for a Proposals Engineer to add to their team.

In this client facing role you will have a varied working life, as you assess incoming enquires, calculate costs and selling prices, select materials, support bid documents and liaise with clients throughout the process. This is primarily an office based role with the opportunity for 1-2 days hybrid, and a technical background is crucial.

This role would suit a Proposals / Tendering Engineer / Estimator or a similar sales background looking for a varied and technical role in a company with global reach, excellent training, progression and development opportunities.

The Role:

  • Liaise with clients throughout the process, attending conferences.
  • Perform calculations, assess incoming enquiries, estimate costs and selling prices and support bid documents.
  • Select materials for machine construction.
  • Primarily office based with opportunity to work from home 1-2 days per week.

The Person:

  • Degree in Mechanical / Chemical engineering.
  • Bid Engineer / Proposals Engineer / Estimator / Tendering Engineer.
  • Background in Rotary Compressors / Pumps.
  • Commutable to Stonehouse, Gloucester.
