Transport Planner/Coordinator

Position: Transport Planner/CoordinatorSalary: £30,000 - £35,000Hours: start time between 4:30 AM - 7:30 finish between 14:00 - 17:00

About the Role: This is a role for a highly motivated and experienced Transport Planner/Coordinator to join a small team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing crews to complete collections, dealing with customers and workshops, and ensuring compliance with internal departments. Your strong logistical background will be essential in dealing with routing, replanning, and managing drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage crews to complete collections and handle customer interactions.
  • Ensure timely delivery and servicing of equipment
  • Maintain compliance with internal departments.
  • Develop and adjust routing plans as needed.
  • Manage and support drivers, including handling driver sickness and other issues.
  • Interact with workshops to understand and manage service schedules.
  • Utilise various software efficiently and be quick to learn new systems.
  • Proactively foresee and solve problems as they occur
  • Maintain high attention to detail in all tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in logistics, with experience in routing and replanning.
  • Experience in managing drivers and understanding transport operations.
  • Familiarity with waste management is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to foresee potential issues.
  • Good attention to detail and strong planning/routing skills.
  • Ability to work under high pressure.
