Our vast direct-to-store (DTS) distribution network, comprising of 17 depots nationwide, enables us to make over 10,400 daily deliveries of our own chilled and frozen produce and that of third parties.

Stonehouse:

A distribution depot serving convenience retailers and forecourts in the region. The depot operates a fleet of 21 vehicles on 31 routes.

What you'll be doing:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Team Leader to join our Team based at our Stonehouse Depot. You will be part of a small team responsible for overseeing the Greencore delivery network. The operation runs 364 days a year and is a fast paced depot to start a transport career. As a Team Leader you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Admin work/ Data input
  • Interacting with drivers
  • Liaising with customer service and thirds parties over email and phone
  • Overlooking van routes to ensure smooth delivery
  • Manage the workload of the drivers, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
  • Control and manage KPI requirements
  • Being a strong example of safe Health and Safety practices
  • Overseeing the day to day running of the Vans routes
  • Reporting into Transport Management
  • Ongoing training, including health and safety, manual handling and driving assessments
  • Being hands on to help out in warehouse with stock

Shift details:

* Sunday to Friday - Rolling rest day

* £13.50 per hour

* 12:30pm to 9pm

What we're looking for:

  • Experience working within the transport industry is desirable
  • Good attention to detail
  • Self-disciplined and able to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met
  • Be computer literate, including the use of Excel spreadsheets
