QHSE Manager
Location: Gloucester
Salary: Circa £50,000
A local engineering and manufacturing company are now looking to recruit a QHSE Manager to join their team.
RESPONSIBLE FOR:
QA/QC Engineer, QC Engineer, Documentation Controllers, QHSE Administrator.
QHSE Manager - JOB SUMMARY:
The QHSE Manager is responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System and ISO9001:2015 accreditation for the business. You will ensure that the Company complies with all regulatory requirements and that a good Health and Safety culture is adhered to throughout the company.
QHSE Manager - MAIN DUTIES OF JOB:
Managing and monitoring the QHSE performance of the company and assure compliance to Health and Safety legislation.
Managing the Quality and Document Control Teams to ensure that they are committed to achieving the functional goals.
Ensuring that all in-process inspection, documentation and testing activities are completed in an accurate manner and that all material received into and despatched from the company have been confirmed to meet required specifications.
Monitoring and advising on all QHSE matters, issues and concerns to ensure Company compliance with statutory requirements, Company and contractual requirements and good industry practice.
Responsibility for Companys QMS processes and procedures to ensure the Company maintains its ISO9001 accreditation, e.g. documentation, records, internal audits, CAPA, customer satisfaction, etc
Liaising with customers and supply chain, regarding QHSE matters, ensuring their expectations are met.
Responsibility for liaising with third party inspections/auditors regarding company accreditation and compliance matters, e.g. HSE, Local Authority, Fire Services, Insurance, ISO accreditation, etc
Managing records of Lifting Equipment and machinery inspected by Zurich and maintenance related to regulatory requirements.
Chairing H&S/Business Improvement Committee to facilitate and evaluate the effectiveness of systems and procedures, identifying and assisting with implementing improvements.
Conducting monthly H&S site inspections and report to area owners.
Ensuring that investigations and reports on failed/defective components are carried out in line with policies and procedures in a timely manner.
Carrying out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced
Managing and monitoring emergency procedures: Fire, signage, PPE, COSHH control, accident investigation and reporting, etc.
Reviewing training and competency with Team Leaders and assisting in arranging training where required.
Reporting on Companys QHSE performance to the leadership team and statutory authorities as and when required.
Updating quality objectives and KPI measures on a quarterly basis.
Keeping track of lessons learned and sharing those lessons with team members.
Conducting QHSE inductions and training courses using internal and external resources when required.
Acting as subject matter expert for QHSE matters.
Resolving and/or escalating issues in a timely fashion.
Offering QHSE consultancy to the Companys subsidiaries and affiliates when required.
The Company has a Health and Safety Policy which outlines its responsibilities as an employer and the responsibilities of its employees in respect of health and safety.All employees need to be aware of this policy and comply with its content.
QHSE Manager - PERSON SPECIFICATION
The ideal candidate MUST come from the Manufacturing Industry as a QHSE Manager.You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:
Hold an Engineering Qualification such as C&G, HNC, HND or Beng
Quality Assurance qualification from an accredited body, for example CQI certificate / diploma or through experience.
ISO9001:2015 Internal Auditor qualification
Hold a H&S Qualification such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent
QHSE Manager - Knowledge and Experience
Experienced in managing and implementing Quality Management and H&S Systems.
Experience in carrying out internal and external Quality Audits.
Experience of supervising/working in a Quality Inspection role, ideally in a Manufacturing or Engineering environment, including experience of Metrology/Calibration/FARO Arm/CMM.
Knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing processes and ability to evaluate and problem solve.
Understanding and experience in interpreting engineering drawings, certification, specification & standard requirements, e.g. API, ISO, PED, etc.
Experience in carrying out accident investigations and reporting.
Knowledge of the oil, gas and offshore industry
