Job Title: Teaching AssistantLocation: Stonehouse Contract Type: Full-time, Monday to FridayWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our school community in Stonehouse. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified individual with a passion for supporting children's learning and development.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to teachers in the preparation and delivery of lessons.
- Work with small groups or individual students to support their academic progress.
- Assist in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support the social and emotional well-being of students.
- Help manage classroom resources and set up learning activities.
- Collaborate effectively with teaching staff and other professionals.
We are seeking individuals who:
- High standards and aspirations
- Strong knowledge and insight into the needs of KS1 children, with the ability to effectively support their development and well-being
- An understanding of neuro-diverse conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and learning challenges like dyslexia
- A solid awareness of Early Phonics
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A team-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
- A calm and adaptable attitude, paired with initiative and flexibility
- A proactive willingness to embrace new ideas and approaches
- Exceptional proficiency in English and Mathematics
