Zen Educate are looking for special needs teaching assistants to work part time or flexibly at a special needs school in Gloucestershire. This can either be 1 day a week or 4 days a week, it all depends on your preferences. This work would suit someone that has other commitments that they are juggling with as well. We are looking for people that have experience with special needs previously this can be from either other school roles or supporting special needs via care work. Ideally candidates would have access to a car but we can still consider those that are on public transport and can get to the school easily.

Working hours are 8:30-3:30 and term time only.

What we are looking for;

-Experience in special needs, and potentially comfortable with personal care should the odd student need such help

-Has lots of empathy and patience and able to handle the challenges that come with working with children with additional needs

-Be consistent with expectations with students and following school policies around behaviours

-Be flexible to the needs of the school and go where needed

-Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one
