RECfinancial are currently shortlisting on an exclusive basis to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to work within our Leicestershire based Charitable basis on either a part or full time basis. The role fits firmly within the heart of the finance function and they seek a detail-oriented and strategic individual to join them. Main Responsibilities of the Management Accountant role:
- Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports for all departments.
- Bank and control account reconciliations.
- Assist and review budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Supervising the sales ledger function procedures.
- Lead and manage the Finance function.
- Reconciling the fixed asset register.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial plans and audits.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the finance team in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assisting with the production of the statutory accounts, annual and monthly budgets and budgets reports.
- Producing weekly and monthly sales data and profit and loss accounts.
- Reconciling VAT monthly and checking that entries per the VAT analysis report are accurately stated.
- Cash flow Analysis, Variance Analysis.
- Oversee payroll procceduresand staff pension requirements.
Skills and experience:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Proven experience in management accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software: Xero, Excel - pivots, look-ups and macros.
- Any previous experience within the charity sector would be ideal but not essential.
