About Us:Our Specilist SEN school is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team and help empower our students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the classroom teacher in delivering tailored learning experiences for students with special educational needs.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt resources as necessary.
- Provide one-on-one support and guidance to students, fostering independence and confidence.
- Monitor and record student progress, reporting any concerns to the teaching staff.
- Create a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including therapists and special education staff, to ensure a cohesive approach to student support.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (preferred).
- Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or special education (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification).
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the classroom.
