The Role

The CNC Cutter / Plate saw operator / Warehouse Operator is responsible for executing various tasks within the warehouse, with a primary focus on plate saw cutting and overall stock management of this department.

You will be responsible for the section.
Primary focus is on materials required to be cut on the plate saw.
This role demands meticulous attention to detail to maintain stock levels, ensure timely completion of orders, and effectively communicate with the Warehouse Team Leader regarding all matters related to the plate saw.

Additionally, you are expected to fulfil the duties of a general warehouse operator as needed including CNC bar cutting and contributing to the overall operational efficiency and versatility of the workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

Plate Saw Cutting and CNC Bar Cutting Ownership:
Communicate any maintenance or supply needs to prevent interruptions in the Plate saw cutting process to the Warehouse Manager

Operational Tasks:
Execute picking, cutting, and despatching tasks according to established procedures.

Order Progress Monitoring:
Report progress on orders to the Warehouse Manager, ensuring all tasks are completed within specified timeframes and handover notes/ instruction to the Warehouse Manager to pick up in the morning.

Workspace Maintenance:
Maintain a clean and organised workspace to facilitate smooth operations and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Stock Assistance:
Support stock management efforts by participating in stock counts and ensure stock is put away in the correct location.

Team Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to achieve warehouse objectives and resolve any issues that may arise.

12.30 per hour / 23,985 per annum.
Day shift, 37.5 hours per week
25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
