Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Controller to join a team based in Stourbridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit control and invoicing, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Invoicing: Manage a high volume of daily invoicing accurately and efficiently.
  • New Accounts and Credit Checks: Set up new customer accounts, perform credit checks, and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Credit Insurers: Liaise with credit insurers, renew monthly accounts, and manage relationships effectively.
  • Customer Invoicing Queries: Resolve customer invoicing queries promptly and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Export Invoicing and Procedures: Handle export invoicing and ensure compliance with relevant procedures and regulations.
  • Proformas: Prepare proforma invoices for customers without a credit account.
  • Credit Control: Chase overdue invoices, send copies, and manage the debt collection process.
  • Debt Collection: Put customers into debt collection and coordinate with credit insurers when payments are not received.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar credit control or invoicing role.
  • Strong knowledge of credit control processes and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with export invoicing and procedures is advantageous.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
