Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Brierley Hill as a Electrical Maintenance Engineer. The role is a permanent role for the right candidate.

Hours of work:

Monday – Friday

06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00

Flexibility to work weekends will be required and asked at interview

Pay

£44,000 per annum dependent on experience

Description and key responsibilities as Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

The candidate will carry out necessary maintenance operations to all equipment and machinery in line with company requirements.

  • Ensure that all plant equipment and machinery is kept in good working order
  • Carry out all planned preventative maintenance as requested
  • Carry out emergency breakdown maintenance and prioritise accordingly
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic faults
  • Complete all paperwork efficiently 
  • Report all problems regarding to equipment and machinery immediately to the maintenance manager or designated persons
  • Be aware of all legal and company standards and procedures in regards to health and safety and adhere to them at all times
  • Maintain a positive can - do attitude with all colleagues and communicate effectively to encourage cooperation
  • Attend any training requested to support your role
  • Be prepared and willing to complete overtime as and when required
  • Carry out maintenance activities during shut-down periods

Qualifications and skills required as a Electrical Maintenance Engineer:

  • A recognised Engineering apprenticeship
  • City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Worked in a foundry environment previously or similar
  • Experience in hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience in welding and general fabrication work
  • Experience in sand conveyors, shot blasts, fettling equipment desirable but not essential
  • The ability to read drawings and work closely with them
