Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of equipment and machinery within our facilities.
Duties路 Working with the company鈥檚 maintenance management system Maintain X.
路 Completing Total Preventative Maintenance Inspections/Servicing/repair as necessary.
路 Attending faults to machinery or plant at all company sites to ensure continuity of production.
路 The fabrication and/or manufacture of components for maintenance repairs.
路 Requisitioning maintenance spares and components with authorisation from the Maintenance Manager.
路 Advising the Maintenance Manager of faults that may require an external contractor.
路 Assisting with the annual review of the Works Maintenance Programme with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure all machinery and plant is inspected each year.
路 Regular inspections of grounds, factory, security and general building maintenance.
路 An awareness of sub-contract maintenance visits and assisting when necessary.
路 The positioning of plant and machines in factory areas.
路 Attending faults to customer site installations when requested.
路 Responsibilities as listed in Quality Control Manual and procedures to BS EN ISO 9001:2000 requirements.
路 Ensuring that housekeeping of work area is maintained.
路 Assistance in working for other departments when necessary.
路 Ensure the safety, security and integrity of all plant, equipment, facilities and processes at all times.
路 Setting up & maintaining a critical equipment database.
路 Taking part in Operations co-ordination meetings and agreeing on work schedules and priorities with managers and directors.
路 Key holder - locking up/security responsibilities.

路 Excellent communication skills
路 Computer skills with Maintenance Planning, Microsoft Tools
路 Apprentice trained, City & Guilds Qualified Mechanical Engineering/similar and industry experience
路 Must have a high degree of self-motivation
路 Team work ethos all functions (Engineering, Productions, Quality Management)
