Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education is seeking a Teaching Assistant for an Ofsted-rated GOOD Secondary School in Stourbridge. This is an exciting opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 3 and 4. This Teaching Assistant role is Full Time until Christmas working in between the classroom and their Interventions HUB where you will be working with small groups of SEN students with learning difficulties.

The role will also entail working alongside the assistant SENCO, helping with EHCP's.

This Teaching Assistant role will include:

• Provide classroom support to pupils across Key stage 3 and key stage 4
• Assist with the delivery of the National Curriculum.
• Hold reading and writing interventions in the schools Hub
• Support children with their learning, ensuring they are engaged and achieving their potential.
• Work closely with the class teacher to create a positive learning environment.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure the safety of all pupils.
• Assist with individual or small group interventions as needed.
• Work alongside the SENCO assisting in the organisation of EHCP'S

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

• Previous experience working as a TA in a UK Secondary school is essential.
• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of the school.
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development.
