An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Systems Support Developer to join a growing software company specialising in warehouse automation. This is primarily a remote position, allowing you to work from home with occasional travel to customer sites when required.

As part of the team, you'll support and enhance existing applications, implement fixes, and manage functionality upgrades. You’ll also play a key role in coordinating application releases and system upgrades, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your role will involve using monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve any system issues. You may also become a subject matter expert in certain areas, providing valuable consultation and review.

Full-time – 37.5 hours per week (with flexible start and end times).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver development resources for both small and large improvement projects.
  • Provide first and second-line support for our applications, liaising with colleagues and third-party providers to implement solutions in either configuration or code.
  • Coordinate production releases, ensuring smooth system transitions and performing updates in development frameworks.
  • Assist with the transition of systems from the Software Development team to live environments.
  • Maintain support documentation to assist 1st and 2nd line colleagues.
  • Occasionally visit customer sites to support system implementation and troubleshoot issues.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with using PHP, MYSQL,
  • Knowledgeable with HTML, CSS, and Query
  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks e.g. Vue JS
  • Good customer service skills and doesn’t mind being in a customer facing environment when required
  • Communication and problem solving skills
  • UK driving license
