We are recruiting for a Process Improvement Engineer to join an established Manufacturing business based in the Dudley area. The Process Improvement Engineer will report into the Quality Manager and will be responsible for helping to minimise internal/external scrap and optimising the materials/processes and supporting sand testing.

As the Process Improvement Engineer you will be required too :

* Coordinate activities for foundry technicians and foundry suppliers

* Lead the greensand laboratory and supporting sand testing

* Minimise internal and internal scrap

* Co ordinate and maintain QC systems

* Work to reduce the cost of manufacturing and eliminate re working

* Liaise with customers, machinists and sub contract processors

* Carry out defect analysis

* Troubleshoot existing and new parts

* Carry out dimensional checks as required

* Optimise processes (Core, moulding, greensand)

Requirements:

*Experience & knowledge of production processes

* Experience of working in a foundry environment

* Experience in a manufacturing/foundry environment would be an advantage

* Demonstrate ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives effectively.

* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

* A proactive approach to learning new technologies and methodologies within the engineering field.
