£38,000 - £42,000 (dependant on electrical knowledge) 

week 1: 6am - 3pm 
week 2: 9am - 6pm 
42.5 hours a week

 

The Company:

Due to recent investment the company have recently been taken over by a very well known corporation which have also invested substantially into site improvements including a £200,000 investment into building brand new control panels and machinery. They are now looking for an experienced maintenance engineer (either bias) who can think on their own two feet and isn’t shy to face a breakdown and deal with it. Ideally you will be able to weld (Mig) and have some basic electrical knowledge i.e. work with 3-phase motors. There is a chance to step up in a couple of years time to become maintenance manager when the current one retires.

Experience required for the Maintenance Engineer:

  • Have at least 3 year’s experience repairing and maintaining special purpose plant machinery as an electrically or mechanically biased maintenance engineer
  • Mechanically strong, change bearings, straps, belts, chains, - heavy change like for like parts move machinery around, stripping, fabricating etc.
  • Electrical experience is desirable and would command the higher salary 
  • Experience with Mig welding advantageous
  • FMCG/Food/Metals/Recycling/Automation/Foundry/Brick/ Aerospace
  • Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, west Bromwich, Dudley
