Jobsworth Recruitmentare seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer inLye (Stourbridge). The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical and electrical background, with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot various systems. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment, providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.

Location- Lye

Hours- Monday to Thursday 7:45am till 4:45pm Friday 7:45am till 3:45pm

Pay rate- 34k up to 45k a year

Position- Permanent

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, utilising your knowledge of logic controllers and schematics.
  • Perform repairs and modifications as necessary, including welding tasks when required.
  • Supervise maintenance staff, providing leadership and guidance to ensure tasks are completed effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report on equipment status.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs promptly while ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Uphold safety standards and protocols in all maintenance activities, promoting a safe working environment.

    Qualifications

  • Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in maintenance engineering roles.
  • Wedling/ Fabrication experience
  • Electrical Qualification
  • Strong electrical skills, including familiarity with logic controllers.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience in supervising teams and leading projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Proficient in welding techniques is a plus but not mandatory.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
  • Musthave an over head crane licence.
