Job Title: Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester

About the Role:
Actio Recruitment is assisting our client based in Stourbridge in their search for a skilled Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automotive repair and maintenance, along with a strong technical background in diagnosing and fixing a range of vehicle issues. This role will involve performing mechanical repairs and conducting MOT tests to ensure vehicles meet safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•   Perform vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
•   Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards.
•   Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, with attention to safety and compliance.
•   Provide accurate reports and feedback on vehicle conditions to customers and management.
•   Keep up to date with technical knowledge and industry best practices.
Requirements:
•   Proven experience as a mechanic and MOT technician, preferably in a busy automotive repair shop.
•   Valid MOT Tester Certification (Class 4 and/or 7) is required.Â
•   City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 (required)
•   Strong technical background in automotive repair and diagnostics.
•   Passion for delivering high-quality workmanship.
•   Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•   Valid driver’s licence with clean recordÂ
