The position will suit someone looking for a long term move with a supportive, well organised environment. Ideally with Coded, MIG welding experience of at least 5 years.Our client: Is a leading supplier into the heavy engineering sector and pride themselves on delivering high-quality, precision-engineered solutions. The team is dedicated to innovation, excellence, and maintaining the highest standards in everything that they do.Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join their established and experienced team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar heavy engineering environment with the ability to read complex drawings. This role is crucial to operations, focusing heavily on the fabrication aspect to meet the rigorous demands of major clients.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality fabrication and welding tasks according to specifications and often complicated engineering drawings.
  • Ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards. Keeping the workshop clean and well organised.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement fabrication solutions.
  • Inspect and test completed work to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication and MIG welding, preferably in heavy engineering industry.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials. Coded MIG Welding is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Experience of using hand and power tools in a fabrication environment.
Job Type: Full time, permanent position.Location: Stourbridge, West midlands.Salary: £15 - £16 p/h DOE.Hours of work: 7.30am - 4pm Monday to Thursday. 7.30am - 1.30pm Friday.
