Job Purpose:
Our client is a leading British manufacturer of bespoke joinery - Due to continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior CAD Technician to join our dynamic team in Stourbridge.
This fast-paced role is predominantly office-based, with occasional site visits for surveys. The ideal candidate will have:
?? Expertise in AutoCAD (gained through a recognised institution)
?? Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)
?? Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting (advantageous)
?? Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
?? Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation
?? A valid UK driving licence (essential for site visits)
Day-to-Day Duties:
Maintain & update drawing files & documentation
Create detailed working drawings for design & manufacturing ??
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Work closely with the team to meet project requirements
Attend site surveys to measure, estimate & assess resources
Engage with clients professionally & effectively
Ensure compliance with industry regulations & company standards ?
Participate in project meetings to understand technical needs ?
Apply knowledge of Health & Safety regulations (on-site & in manufacturing) ??
Liaise with contractors to ensure smooth project execution ?
Maintain a professional image with clients & colleagues
Essential Skills:
?? Advanced AutoCAD skills
?? Strong Microsoft Office knowledge
?? Excellent attention to detail & high work standards
?? Ability to prioritise & multi task effectively
?? Clear & professional communication skills
?? Full UK driving licence (essential for site visits)
Desirable Skills:
? Knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting
? Experience in Health & Safety regulations
? Previous experience liaising with contractors
