A global business that designs, develops, and manufactures a range of high-spec products for the MOD, has an exciting opportunity for a Production Chemist to take charge of their facility to produce solid, fluid and gaseous chemicals.
As a Production Chemist, your duties will include -
- Chemical processing using hazardous or toxic materials, particularly strong acids.
- Handling hazardous and sensitive materials.
- Operating chemical plants on a pilot or production scale.
- Computer control of manufacturing processes.
- Managing various sub-processes in different parts of the plant and liaising with other manufacturing areas.
- Inventory management and production scheduling to supply products to other on-site manufacturing areas.
We are looking for candidates with experience and knowledge in chemical manufacturing, in a similar role. A willingness to learn is key, as training is provided and will be an essential part of the role.

Salary and Additional Benefits: Up to 40K (dep on exp) free parking, subsidised canteen
Holidays: 25 days + statutory days per annum pro-rata
Hours of Work: 37-hour working week
- Monday-Thursday: 07.30-15.30 (30 mins lunch daily 12.00-12.30)
- Friday: 07.30 - 14.30 (no lunch)
