An industry leading Automation Manufacturer offering bespoke solutions to a range of industries on a global scale, is now seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team.

Supporting the Maintenance Manager and Operational staff, this role carries responsibility for the overall site, facilities, layout and machinery used for and in support of production, ensuring they run to their maximum efficiency and output.

Mechanical Technician duties will include:

  • Preventive maintenance tasks and reactive responses to plant breakdowns and repairs to ensure continuity of production
  • Ensure the safety, security and integrity of all plant, equipment, facilities and processes
  • Working with the company's maintenance management system Maintain X
  • The fabrication and/or manufacture of components for maintenance repairs
  • Regular inspections of grounds, factory, security and general building maintenance
  • Advising the Maintenance Manager of faults that may require an external contractor
  • An awareness of sub-contract maintenance visits and assisting when necessary
  • Key holder - locking up/security responsibilities

To be successful in the role of Maintenance Technician, the ideal candidate will:

  • Be a City & Guilds Qualified Mechanical Engineer/similar
  • Have prior Manufacturing industry experience
  • Have basic knowledge of CMMS
  • Possess a high degree of self-motivation
  • Hold a valid driving license
