Social Worker - Parenting Assessment Centre- Stourport, Part Time
Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children and families?

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Social Worker to join a dedicated team at a established Parenting Assessment Centre.

About the Role:

In this crucial role, you will play a key part in assessing the parenting capacity of families involved with children's services. You will work closely with families to understand their strengths and areas for development, providing a safe and supportive environment to conduct assessments. This is a part time post around 25 hours a week with the hours being flexible over 4/5 days.

Your responsibilities will include:

Conducting comprehensive parenting assessments, using a variety of evidence-based methods.
Working collaboratively with families, children, and other professionals.
Producing high-quality reports for the courts and other stakeholders.
Delivering interventions and support plans to enhance parenting skills.
Contributing to the ongoing development of the service.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds a degree in social work and is qualified as a Social Worker.
  • Has a minimum of 2 years' experience in children's social work, ideally including experience of conducting parenting assessments.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with families from diverse backgrounds.
  • Is a strong analytical thinker with excellent report writing skills.
  • Has a passion for safeguarding children and a commitment to social justice.
  • Is a team player with a flexible and adaptable approach.
