Title: Procurement Manager (6 month FTC)

Sea Global are currently partnering with a global manufacturing client who are looking to recruit a Procurement Manager on a 6 month interim basis with potential to go perm. The role is an existing position within the team and they are looking for the successful candidate to come in and hit the ground running from day one.
Ideally, they would like someone who is available on short notice (1 month or less).
The role will have overall remit for £8m spend, across indirect, direct and raw materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiation, spend consolidation, purchase order management and stock level management. Role & Responsibilities
- Ensure materials, products and services are delivered on time to support the manufacturing plant
- Monitor and report KPI’s including cost reduction, delivery, quality and department efficiency
- Management of a comprehensive Supplier Risk Mitigation (SRM) programme including supplier audits, supplier corrective action issuing and follow up, and adherence to strict specification requirements
- Take a key role in MRP control and improvement actions to ensure the business operates efficiently.
- Negotiate and manage energy (Electricity & Gas) contracts for all Stourport site or be part of the Team if undertaken at group level
Experience & Requirements
- Should have experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Will be comfortable working with autonomy and will have end to end procurement experience
- Needs to have broad procurement experience across raw materials, directs and direct spend
- Will have a demonstrable track record and achievements delivering cost savings
- Needs to be able to work from the Stourport site 5 days a week
