We are looking for a Skilled Labourer / Carpenter to work for a company based in the outskirts of Stowmarket, Suffolk.
This is a multi-skilled labourer role, working for a company who specialise in the production of materials for the construction industry.
You do not need to be a fully fledged carpenter for this role. It is better suited to a skilled labourer who has some carpentry experience.
You will need to have a strong working knowledge of basic carpentry & you will be expected to be able to work independently.
Carpenter duties include: -
- Cutting wood to size
- Drilling & assembling wooden frames / moulds
- Assisting in the yard with other duties as and when required
- Pouring concrete into the moulds
- Reading from bespoke drawings
You will need to be familiar with basic woodworking machinery, such as saws, drills, sanders, etc.
Hours of work are 06:00-15:00, Monday - Friday. Overtime available @ increased rates of pay.
