A leading supplier of site-mix and ready-mixed concrete in the Eastern Region is seeking a Concrete Specialist to join their team. This role will cover all plants in Suffolk with regular time spent at their dedicated laboratory located at Fornham Park, Bury St Edmunds.
We are looking for a motivated Concrete Specialist to support daily operations through accurate testing and quality control processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Concrete Specialist:

Perform daily testing of concrete samples to meet relevant BSI Standards

Accurately record and maintain logs of all tests performed

Clean, maintain, calibrate, and operate testing equipment

Conduct raw material sampling and process test samples through the laboratory

Ensure all samples are properly marked and stored

Maintain laboratory cleanliness and assist with general house-keeping
-
Act as liaison between offices, plants, construction sites, and customers
-
Collect and transport samples from client sites to the laboratory for testing

Complete all required administration related to concrete testing

Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures

Conduct calibrations on volumetric vehicles
Concrete Specialist - Person Specification:

Strong planning, organisational, and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure

Attention to detail and ability to self-manage workload

Valid driving licence is essential

Previous experience in the concrete industry is advantageous
