- Perform daily setting out duties independently.
- Train, manage, and mentor Junior Engineers.
- Manage and monitor all site sample/performance testing requirements, maintaining records in line with contract specifications.
- Complete hazard/risk assessments and method statements.
- Manage site service plans/drawings and issue permits accordingly.
- Assist the site QS/Project Manager by providing relevant information for records and claims purposes.
- Monitor and control temporary works.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies, as well as company procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive setting out experience on infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and earthworks.
- Proficiency with Leica/Geomax equipment and the ability to transfer information from AutoCAD to surveying equipment.
- Strong understanding of ITPs and the quality assurance process.
- Good leadership skills and a solid understanding of construction practices.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout our Eastern region.
- First Aid at Work qualification is desirable.
