On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experience Data Engineer to work within a newly created team to embed data foundations, data engineering processes and best practices, where there is currently none. At this stage, the programme is focusing on data cleansing, with a view of bringing in AI/LLM tools in the future.

The successful candidate must offer top level SQL, Python, and other data engineering languages/skills, experience of engineering common practices and processes such as ETL and MDM. And nurtured softer skills to help with upskilling and coaching other team/programme members.

Important - This role will require an onsite presence, meaning candidates must live within a commutable distance of Suffolk (Bury St. Edmunds region).

Responsibilities:

  • Work with stakeholders to identify technical requirements and design data products
  • Gather, analyse, and run data for cleansing from a wide range of technology stacks
  • Interrogate and manipulate data to solve complex business problems.
  • Upskill and coach other team and programme members.
  • Embed data foundations, data engineering processes, and best practices.
