MacKenzie King are delighted to be supporting a successful growing organisation in Suffolk in the recruitment of a Head of Finance. This is an excellent opportunity to work with, and advise the leadership team to ensure the financial health and strategy of the Group and associated Companies.

You will be responsible for leading the finance team and managing all aspects of financial control and reporting while implementing new processes and ways of working to ensure financial operating effectiveness.

Strategy

  • Contribute to the achievement of the Company’s objectives and KPI’s by providing advice and guidance on financial strategy.
  • Support the Managing Director in all financial growth and productivity projects.
  • Proactively engage with and support members of the senior management team to execute the corporate strategy.

Accounting & budgets

  • Ensure cash is available to meet operational and capital demands as well as manage a reliable short- and long-term forecast.
  • Manage and develop the overall financial budget and work closely with department managers to develop functional budgets that are realistic and achievable.

Management Information

  • Ensure high quality, timely and accurate delivery of insightful management information including management accounts, budgets and forecasts and relevant indicators of business performance

Administration and systems

  • Management and continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, and policies to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the Company.
  • Administration of the Company’s financial assets - to include cost control and development/implementation of cost reduction strategies.
  • Ensure the Company complies with all relevant statutory financial procedures, regulations and reporting.
  • Monitor external contracts and services provided by suppliers to ensure that these are operating effectively and provide best value for the Company.
  • Ensure robust controls, checks and balances are in place to ensure the business meets it cash targets and highlights any issues

Stakeholder Management

  • Effectively manage and nurture the relationship with external stakeholders including banks and auditors, to the benefit of the Company.

People Management

  • Manage and develop the finance team to be a high performing, productive and motivated team
  • Coach and support team members with their learning and qualifications.
