Drainage Team Leader

Stowmarket, Suffolk

Permanent, Full time (47.5 hours) 7am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

£44,000 - £50,000 per annum, (£17.70 - £20.25 per hour) plus, overtime paid at time and a half and training opportunities

On call rota: 1 in every 4 weeks(Mon - Sun and evenings)

You will receive an extra £100 when on call (whether called out or not)

Our client is a drainage services company offering a wide range of services including drain repairs and maintenance, civil engineering and trenchless solutions.

They are seeking a skilled and motivated Team Leader to join their dynamic team. You’ll oversee a 2-person crew, working on a variety of projects across Suffolk and Essex regions. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and high standards on-site.

About the role:

  • Conducting daily site-specific risk assessments.
  • Overseeing deep drainage installation, manhole construction, concreting, block laying, kerb laying, and excavation work.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining a high standard of work in outdoor environments, often in challenging conditions.

Experience and Qualifications:

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience within the utilities or energy industry.
  • Expertise in installing deep drainage systems.
  • Strong understanding of utility operations and regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications

  • CSCS card.
  • First Aid Level 2 (minimum).
  • Full UK driving licence with zero points ideally but, up to 6 points could be considered.

Desirable Qualifications (Training Provided if Needed)

  • Confined Spaces.
  • EUSR SHEA (Water/Utility).
  • Dumper Ticket.
  • 360 Excavator.
  • Cat & Genny.
