I’m excited to be supporting a client has been a global leader in producing high-quality malt and malted ingredients for over 100 years. A private business who cares about their people, this company has worked hard on both their operational successes, but also their culture and people journey.You’ll be part of the site’s Engineering Team responsible for the maintenance, maximising machine availability and continued efficient running of the mill, malt extract, band drier, spray drier, home brew, maltings and site services. This is a panama shift working pattern, with an average of 42 hours per week.Core duties include
  • To carry out plant modifications, planned maintenance and small engineering projects.
  • Providing a dynamic and proactive response to engineering breakdowns.
  • Proactively contribute towards maximising machine availability and efficiency.
  • To maintain correct health & safety standards at all times.
Requirements for the role
  • A trained engineer who is both mechanically and electrically skilled.
  • Conversant with PLCs and process control equipment.
  • Ability to work to challenging deadlines and quick response times.
  • Flexible to respond to the changing demands of the role.
  • Conversant with Continuous Improvement and TPM techniques.
  • Ideally from a food manufacturing background.
  • Able to work using own initiative delivering high standard of work with minimal supervisory input.
