About the Role:
As our new Head of Humanities Department, you will lead the delivery of history, geography, and social sciences across KS3 and KS4. You will have the rewarding responsibility of managing the humanities curriculum, promoting a dynamic and engaging approach to learning, and supporting our philosophy of making learning enjoyable-even when exams are on the horizon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the teaching and development of the humanities curriculum across KS3 and KS4
- Leading and mentoring a talented team of humanities teachers, fostering a collaborative and innovative department
- Ensuring all students receive a well-rounded education in history, geography, and social sciences
- Supporting and guiding students on their GCSE journeys, tailoring educational approaches to individual needs
- Contributing to a supportive, inclusive school culture where every student feels valued and supported
