P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking a Documentation Engineer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis based in Suffolk.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Produce technical information, drawings and associated schedules and documents, taking due account of H&S requirements, designs, specifications and standards relating to the contract.
  • Help test and commissioning of the mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Deal with specifiers and/or suppliers/distributors.
  • Report problems and deficiencies in the design and brief.
  • Maintain competitiveness by ensuring drawings are produced within the durations indicated.
  • Ensure technical co-ordination with all other internal and external disciplines.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to timescale and budget.
  • Maintain drawing files and records throughout the duration of the contract.
  • Suggest solutions to problems based on an understanding of relevant technologies.
  • Visit customers on a world-wide basis, as required, to help achieve sales, resolve problems and test machines.
  • Ensure statutory and company procedures and practices are maintained.
  • Work with and support other departments to ensure business objectives are achieved.
  • Promote a safe working environment ensuring compliance with all current legislation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • 1 years in an engineering-related position.
  • 2+ years in manufacturing/assembly environment.
  • Proven ability to use CAD.
  • Educated to skilled level i.e. successfully completed an apprenticeship.
  • Driving licence.
