Cooper Lomaz is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing company for an experienced HR Advisor. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to HR initiatives while providing essential support and guidance across the business.

Role Overview:As an HR Advisor, you will work closely with empowered managers and the Senior Leadership Team to deliver effective HR services. You will handle a variety of casework, including employee relations and performance management, while supporting strategic HR projects such as line manager development, talent management, and engagement initiatives.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line contact for all HR-related issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation
  • Update and review HR policies, procedures, and guidelines while advising managers on their implementation
  • Educate and embed company values across teams and departments
  • Manage all employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and flexible working requests
  • Support recruitment and selection processes, including apprenticeship campaigns
  • Lead onboarding processes, including HR inductions in conjunction with Health & Safety
  • Provide support for performance management initiatives and mental health and wellbeing strategies
  • Work with Finance to update bi-monthly payroll and oversee benefits administration
  • Contribute to HR systems improvement and provide HR analytics reports as required

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in HR advisory roles
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Ability to manage a varied and demanding workload, including ER casework
  • Excellent communication and coaching skills
  • Proficiency in HR systems and analytics

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in change management and system implementation
  • Knowledge of mental health and wellbeing strategies
  • Familiarity with payroll and benefits administration

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an HR advisory capacity, working on a broad range of casework and HR projects

Salary & Benefits:

  • £28.000-£30,000
