Location: Hybrid Working – 4 days in the office / 1 day working from home

Type: Temporary Role – 3 Months initially

Main Purpose of Job

To provide a professional service on behalf of the Human Resources and Workforce Development team and supporting the implementation of the Council’s People Strategy whilst driving best practice, ensuring compliance with all Council policies and procedures are in line with employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Absence management stage 1, 2 and 3 processes
  • Supporting investigating managers
  • Recruitment

Person Specification

  • Level 5 CIPD qualified – Essential
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Questioning, active listening skills and ability to establish rapport
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise to meet competing deadlines, manage customer expectations, and work well under pressure
  • Computer literate
