IT Auditor // ISACA // CISA // 40 days // Predominantly Remote // £400-500/day PSC/Umbrella

Lead the IT Audit and consultancy work across the Audit Partnership, focusing on secure business processing, system development, and ICT facility effectiveness. Your role will involve independent review and testing of the Council’s current and proposed practices and procedures, focusing on two main Audits:

  • Service Desk Management
  • User Access management

Main Duties

  • Develop and agree on an annual risk-based audit plan.
  • Identify IT risks and apply industry standards (ISACA, ISO 27001, ITIL).
  • Review ICT service provision and system security.
  • Provide specialist advice to Senior Managers and Councillors.
  • Conduct special investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Coordinate the National Fraud Initiative (NFI).
  • Supervise and support audit team members.

Qualifications

  • Proven IT auditing experience, preferably in the public sector.
  • Strong knowledge of IT trends and standards.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • CISA or equivalent certification required.
  • Experience with Service Desk Management and User Access Management audits.
