- Develop and implement supplier quality assurance strategies to improve supply chain performance.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for supplier-related non-conformances and ensure effective resolution.
- Establish and maintain supplier quality metrics, including defect rates, process capability, and on-time delivery performance.
- Work closely with engineering, procurement, and manufacturing teams to qualify new suppliers and ensure successful product launches.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring supplier readiness and compliance with design and production requirements.
- Develop and maintain supplier quality agreements, specifications, and inspection standards.
- Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers on quality control methods, problem-solving techniques, and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other relevant quality management system standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies, such as PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and 8D problem-solving.
- Experience conducting supplier audits and working with corrective action processes.
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with suppliers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, Minitab, or similar).
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
