Are you experienced in Logistics and looking for a new role to really make your mark? We are seeking a full time Logistics Coordinator to join our Clients impressive business in Stowmarket!

We are searching for a Logistics Coordinator!

The logistic team plan for 5 operational sites (Stowmarket, Ipswich, Cottenham, Haverhill, and Hoddesdon) which are controlled from our centralised Head Office and supported by Sales, Accounts and HR teams.

This role would suit an enthusiastic person that is looking to progress and gain further experience.

Role Responsibilities:

Plan and schedule jobs for skip lorries and waste services efficiently and cost effectively

Liaise with drivers daily and resolve issues raised - good phone manner and able to give clear instructions to the drivers

Manage changes to delivery schedules required throughout the day

Liaise with others in the logistic team, Site and Transport Managers to ensure vehicle and driver unavailability captured and reflected in schedules

Respond to customer enquiries regarding service timescales

Update and manage reporting, as required

Assist with stock control

Assist the Sales Team with incoming sales enquiries, updating our CRM and processing orders on our Waste Management Software and any other tasks as may be required

Up loading of vehicle files to Fleet Check

Requirements for the role:

A Transport Manager CPC is extremely desirable.

At least 1 year previous experience in planning or logistics role is essential

Strong organisation, planning and problem-solving skills

Excellent customer service skills both by phone and email.

Able to work effectively in a pressured environment

You must be computer literate and be able to work with Microsoft Office applications

Attention to detail in all forms of communication.

Previous experience using a CRM system is essential to enable to use our Planning system (Purgo) Full training will be given.
