Payroll Administrator

Gap personnel are proud to be working in partnership with The Range to support the recruitment at their brand-new Distribution Centre, the largest warehouse built in over 5 years in Stowmarket, Suffolk.

This is a permanent position to commence offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to join a fantastic organisation in a progressive environment.

Shift Pattern:  Monday to Friday, 08.30 t0 4.30 - 37.5 hours a week

Salary:  £25,838

Purpose:

To be responsible for some of the key day to day administrative tasks to ensure colleagues are paid correctly, on time and in line with relevant legislation.

What does the role entail?

  • Processing new starters and leavers in our payroll time and attendance systems.
  • Gathering and checking Time & Attendance Data: applying appropriate allowances/deductions.
  • Downloading paperwork for processing
  • Inputting and tracking of all absences, including holiday entitlements and accruals.
  • Data entry and general administrative duties
  • Be the first point of contact when dealing with payslip enquiries
  • Accurate record keeping
  • Updating and maintaining employee data

What skills & experience do we seek?

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent typing skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
  • Exceptional phone etiquette and professional communication skills, both written and verbal

The process:

Initial telephone/skype interviews will be conducted by a member of the gap personnel team. Following this, successful candidates will be put forward for an interview with The Range at the beginning of March with a commencement date based on availability.
