We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Sports Coach to join our team and provide high-quality coaching and mentorship to young people in our community. The successful candidate will have a passion for sports, a strong understanding of coaching principles, and a commitment to empowering young people to achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement training programs and coaching strategies for young people in a range of sports, in accordance with their skill levels and interests.
  • Provide individual and group coaching sessions to young people, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • Mentor and motivate young people to set and achieve personal goals and improve their overall physical fitness and health.
  • Create a positive and inclusive environment for all young people, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds.
  • Work collaboratively with other coaches and volunteers to provide a comprehensive and coordinated approach to sports coaching.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions with young people and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • A degree or diploma in a related field, such as sports coaching, physical education, or youth work.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching young people in a range of sports, with a focus on skill development and mentorship.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with young people, families, and professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and external stakeholders.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to learn new coaching techniques and approaches.
  • Flexibility and ability to work outside of regular business hours as required.
