My established FMCG client are seeking an experienced Interim / FTC Supply Chain Planning Lead to manage supply planning, production planning and S&OP at their site - based within a commutable distance from parts of Cambridgeshire and Suffolk.

This critical role ensures that production schedules meet demand, material levels are optimised, and operational efficiency is maintained.

Description

In this Interim / FTC Supply Chain Planning Lead, you will focus on the following key areas;

  • Issue daily and weekly production schedules to the site.
  • Lead capacity reviews, including run rate sign-off, labour planning, and forward volume commitments.
  • Oversee inventory replenishment to meet stock targets
  • Track and analyse key site KPIs Inc. adherence to plan, availability and OTIF
  • Collaborate with teams across procurement, finance, and customer service to resolve exceptions to the S&OP plan and ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain accurate BOMs and support efficient material and packaging availability.
  • Provide clear and actionable insights to the site leadership team, facilitating decision-making and operational improvements.

Profile

  • Strong expertise in production scheduling, supply planning, capacity planning, and inventory management.
  • Experience gained within an FMCG environment, ideally supplying into the retail sector
  • Proven experience in tracking KPIs and improving supply chain performance.
  • Strong Excel skills and the ability to pick up new ERP/MRP systems at pace
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-departmental collaboration within complex supply chains.

Job Offer

This Interim / FTC Supply Chain Planning Lead position can either be within a 9-month FTC capacity c. £60,000 or on an interim day rate basis c. £350-£400PD.
