We are looking for a Wood Machinist who has previous experience operating CNC routers. The following position is working for one of the region's most reputable joinery firms, offering you the opportunity to work variety of high-end, one-off projects. We do require someone who can hit the ground running, making it essential that any applications have previous machining experience from a joinery background.

What's the pay?

We are offering a salary up from 30,000+ per annum with a pay rise available after your probation period. Overtime regularly available at increased rates.

Hours of work?

44-hour week, 07:30-17:00, Monday-Thursday with an earlier finish on Fridays.

Where is the job?

The following position is based in the outskirts of Stowmarket, Suffolk. It is commutable for someone who lives in Stowmarket, Ipswich, Hadleigh, Sudbury or even Bury St Edmunds.

Wood Machinist duties?

  • Primarily operating a CNC 5 axis router
  • Operating a variety of machinery such as router, spindle moulders, saws etc.
  • Reading from traditional cutting lists & able to prepare materials prior to machining
  • Operate basic hand & power tools for any adjustments as and when required for the job
  • Carry out routine health & safety in the workshop

Who are we looking for?

  • 5+ years' experience working in a joinery shop
  • The ideal candidate will have CNC machining experience
  • Knowledge of CNC programs (ideally HOMAG but not essential)
  • Own transport required due to rural location of company
