Are you an ambitious and confident accounts professional looking for a genuine progression opportunity?

I am currently working with an established, environmentally conscious business, which is looking for a sharp and adaptable PQ accountant to train into a Finance Business Partner within the next 12 months. 

Taking responsibility for duties such as cash posting, bank reconciliations, balance sheets and month end, the successful candidate will shadow the current FBP (head of accounts within this c£65m turnover business) and learn all elements of this intricate company, including:

  • Reporting to group
  • Producing accounts for two UK sites and one overseas site
  • ONS reporting 
  • Managing a team of 4 
  • System improvements

To be successful in this job, you will be an active studier with a fantastic attitude and the aptitude to grow your position within a supportive environment, while also assisting the business and its parent company adapt to a changing world. 

You will be good with IT systems and have strong Excel ability. You will also have the potential to lead a stable team where staff turnover has traditionally been low. 

It is crucial you can drive as the office is in a rural location. And it definitely isn't a job for someone who wants to wear a suit or heels, as the business is firmly planted in the land!
