Company AccountantSF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a dynamic SME based on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon. We are seeking a part qualified or qualified by experience accountant to step up into a Company Accountant role, working closely with the Financial Controller Key responsibilities include: Financial Management: - Preparation, review, and reporting of financial performance to senior management and the Managing Director. - Management of a Finance Assistant, coordinating day-to-day tasks and ensuring all financial deadlines are met. - Preparation and posting of general ledger journals. - Perform balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records. - Handle HMRC VAT & PAYE returns to ensure regulatory compliance. - Oversee full payroll management, including auto-enrollment pension submissions. - Manage online bank accounts and ensure all transactions are accurate and up to date. - Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure accurate and timely financial reports. - Prepare and report on short- and long-term budgets, ensuring alignment with business strategy. - Oversee cash flow management, including regular forecasting and reporting. - Manage sales and purchase ledgers, including invoice production and credit control. Potential for Role Development As the business grows, there is an opportunity to develop this role into a Finance Director position, with added responsibilities such as: - Development of the annual operating budget in consultation with senior management. - Provide advice on financial strategy and support the achievement of the company's financial goals. - Analyse revenue projections versus actual figures, providing insights to management. - Work with the Managing Director to assess long-term financial trends and prospects for future growth.
