Randstad are recruiting for a Project Engineer / Section Engineer with civils and utilities experience to join a highly regarded subcontractor for work on a Water / Wastewater Utilities framework in East London.
This role will be ideal for someone looking to step into Project Management as it encompasses full life cycle engineering from Design through to Construction and Handover.
What You'll Do:
- Lead the Design Process: You'll play a key role in designing and developing innovative engineering solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards.
- Technical Expertise: You'll review and approve design documents and drawings, ensuring they are accurate and meet project requirements.
- Team Leadership: You'll mentor and guide a team of engineers, providing technical support and ensuring projects stay on track.
- Project Management: You'll manage the design process, including collaborating with the design house, managing site surveys, and overseeing documentation.
- Communication & Coordination: You'll effectively communicate with stakeholders, manage RFIs, and address technical queries.
- Concept Design & Innovation: You'll contribute to the development of innovative concepts and solutions.
What You'll Bring:
- Engineering Expertise: Strong understanding of engineering principles and proven experience in construction and design coordination.
- Project Management: Experience managing design teams and projects.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD/MicroStation.
- Utility & Groundwork Experience: Understanding of utility systems and experience with groundwork.
- Setting Out & QA: Experience with setting out and quality assurance procedures.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Civil Engineering or HNC equivalent
Experience working for a Main contractor Or subcontractor on a civils and or utilities package (Sewer / Water Experience highly desirable)
