Our client is a leading flooring contractor who operate within the construction industry and are looking to hire a talented Project Manager to their team.

Job Purpose:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of flooring projects across various sectors (e.g., commercial, residential, industrial). This role requires a proactive, organised, and client-focused individual with a strong understanding of construction processes and flooring installation techniques. The Project Manager will ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while maintaining excellent client relationships and adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource

allocation.

Coordinate and manage all aspects of flooring projects from inception to completion.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure adherence to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.

Client Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and

addressing any concerns.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, fostering repeat business.

Conduct regular site meetings with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Resource Management:

Manage and coordinate labour, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient project delivery.

Procure materials and manage supplier relationships.

Oversee and manage subcontracted flooring installers.

Manage site staff.

Financial Management:

Monitor project budgets and control costs.

Prepare and submit progress reports and financial forecasts.

Approve invoices and manage payment schedules.

Health and Safety:

Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

Conduct site inspections and risk assessments.

Implement and enforce safety procedures.

Ensure all site staff have the correct safety training.

Quality Control:

Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality.

Conduct quality inspections and address any defects.

Ensure projects meet client expectations and industry standards.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, and progress

reports.

Prepare and submit regular project updates to management.

Maintain accurate records of site activity.

Qualifications and Experience:

Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, preferably within

the flooring sector.

Strong understanding of flooring installation techniques and materials.

Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficient in using project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

Relevant qualifications (e.g., degree in Construction Management, Project Management certification) are desirable.

CSCS card.

Full UK Driving Licence
