Building Safety Manager Opportunity

Position: Building Safety Manager (London Based/ Hybrid)

Role Overview: Are you passionate about ensuring building safety and compliance? Join a dynamic team to lead building safety compliance across a varied portfolio of housing stock. Engage with residents, leaseholders, internal teams, external providers, and stakeholders to promote and communicate building safety matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead building safety compliance and ensure buildings under your management are safe and compliant.
  • Manage a small team of Building Safety Technical Coordinators and oversee consultants and service providers.
  • Ensure in-scope buildings are safe to occupy and meet all regulatory requirements.
  • Regularly review maintenance activities, assess risks, and contribute to building safety discussions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance the profile and objectives of the Building Safety Team.
  • Support the delivery of strategic plans and corporate objectives.

Main Duties:

  • Provide leadership and management, ensuring high standards of customer service and values.
  • Deliver operational building safety management, ensuring buildings are safe and residents feel secure.
  • Produce and manage building safety documentation, including Building Assessment Certificates and safety case reports.
  • Implement and support Mandatory Occurrence Reporting and resident engagement strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver building safety objectives efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams, fostering a strong team culture.
  • Strong organizational skills, project management experience, and attention to detail.
  • Minimum Level 4 in Building Safety or working towards it; good knowledge of construction hazards, risk assessments, fire and structural risks.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Financial and commercial acumen.
  • Continuous professional development in building safety.
